9-Day Tour of Yangxian Changqing Nature Reserve and Foping Nature

Arrive
Xi'an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of
the Silk Road with a long and glorious history. Meet your
guide upon arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 Xi'an - Yangxian County |
|
 |
|
| |
Drive
416km (8 hrs) to Yangxian County in the morning, lunch
on the way. Arrive Yangxian County in the afternoon, transfer
to the local hostel and have dinner. The Changqing Nature
Reserve of Yangxian County is the only nature reserve
in the world for the rare bird - the crested ibis. There
are no more than 500 crested ibises in the world and nearly
all of them live in Changqing Nature Reserve. Every year
these lovely birds attract the scientists, photographers,
journalists and tourists who are interested in the ecology
protection from all over the world.

After breakfast,
full day tour to the Created Ibis Breeding Center. You can have
the opportunity to take photos with Crested Ibises.

Day 04 Changqing Nature Reserve |
|
|
|
| |
Under the guide
of local scientists and their assistants, visit the habitat
of the crested ibises to find the wild crested ibis, then visit
the Wild Panda Saving Center.

?Day 05 Changqing Nature Reserve - Foping County |
|
|
|
| |
Under
guide of local scientists and their assistants, visit the habitat
of the wild pheasants and other wild birds. Then visit the Site
of the Glacier in Quaternary Period and the Wild Pheasant Breeding
Farm. Drive to Foping County in the afternoon, upon arrival
transfer to the local hostel and have dinner.

Day
06 Foping Nature Reserve |

Under
guide of local scientists and their assistants, visit Foping
Nature Reserve. As well as Changqing Nature Reserve, Foping
Nature Reserve is also famous for "The Treasure of China"
- wild giant pandas, and the golden hair monkeys, takin and
other rare birds and animals. Today you will find the habitat
of the wild giant pandas and their living environment. If you
are enough fortunate you will meet the wild giant pandas face
to face. |

Day 07 Foping Nature Reserve |
|
|
|
| |
The
main purpose today is to find the wild pandas. You have to walk
on foot for some time, as some places are not impossible for
the jeep to drive into. If you are lucky enough, you will meet
the wild giant pandas face to face.

Day 08 Foping County - Xi'an |
|
|
|
| |
After breakfast drive 250km back (6 hrs) to Xi'an, the
rest of the day is free to rest.
|
|
|
| |
After breakfast transfer to the airport, your fascinating
journey comes to an end as you board your flight.
