in southwest China and attributed to subtropical plateau zone, Guizhou
is known as "Qian" for short. Mountains and hills take up
97% of the total area of the province. With unique surroundings, varied
topography, pleasant weather and a temperature of 15 Centigrade on
an average without sever cold in winter and sweltering hot in summer,
it is the most immensely developed area of karst in the world. The
province is rich in tourist resources featured in colorful variety,

Huangguoshu Waterfall, Dragon Palace, Gold Woven Cavern and Red Maple

As
the capital city, Guiyang is the political, economical, cultural and
traffic center of Guizhou Province. It has a total area of 8,032 square
meters, with a population of 3.1 million. Guiyang is situated in the
central part of Guizhou Province. It is a mountain city embraced by
many mountains. It possesses an evergreen surrounding and pleasant
moist climate, hence the name "The Second Spring City",
after Kunming. The famous beauty spots include Flowers brook and Hongfu
Temple. |

Kaili |

| Kaili is
about 195km east of Guiyuang. It is the gateway to the captivating
minority areas of southeastern Guizhou. Kaili and the areas around
it are host to a large number of minority festivals - over 130 annually.
The main spots of interests are Golden Spring Lake, Minorities Museum
and Sunday Market.
